A 2019 level user/device CAL licenses that user/device for all Windows 2019 Server's in your environment and below. That can be done by purchasing a Device CAL for all devices OR by purchasing a User CAL for all users which licenses any device that specific User is using. You can purchase the CALs from anyone reseller that does business in your country but obviously not the one that quoted you because they obviously don't know what they are doing.ДЄny device that accesses the server for any reason needs to be licensed. Otherwise when i google about it, the ads are all about lizengo, but i have the feeling that the 'piece of paper' they will give me is invalid, as they already have 'used' licenses of office 2019 proplus and other new software. I can just buy SKU R18-05768 from some reputable online vendors like lambdatek or senetic? Or i need to have an open value contract to make them valid?ДЄnd i can use server 2019 licenses with server 2016, right?

So, I tried to follow the wizard at the page - but I don't understand how to finalize the order. If I am right, i only need the 5 user cal, remote administration is included I attach the quote i got by email otherwise you don't believe me :-D According to him I need to buy a device CAL for each SMB share (?), a CAL for each user, an extra CAL for each user because 'maybe your business will grow', plus an RDS cal because i'm going to remotely administer it (what?) I asked a retailer and I was told the most ridiculous answer. Since we only have 5 employees, we just need 5 user licenses. Hi to all, we are almost ready to deploy our first windows server and so need to buy the CALs.
